James Dean was a film star. People called him Tommy.
He mad hundreds of films. He was born in February 1931 in Texas. When he was five years old, he moved to California with his uncle and aunt. Three years later his aunt died and he went back to Texas and lived with his parents again.
jimmy loved sports. He was in the school basketball and baseball teams. He also played yhe clarinet.
Before being in actor, he worked in the central post office and took a part-time job in a local radio stasion. But, he earned a little money. His career in film started when a production house asked him to make advertisements, he tried to make his own film.
In 1955, he was rich enough to buy a fast sports car. It was a Mustang. In September 1965, he was died after his car hit a lorry.
